These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of The Providers HQ website and platform (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Who can use the Service
You must be at least 18. Providers must hold a valid professional license for the services they offer and carry professional liability insurance, and must keep both current.
2. Accounts
Give accurate information, keep your login secure and tell us right away about any unauthorized use. You are responsible for activity on your account.
3. Verification
Providers must upload a license and certificate of insurance before their account is approved. We review the documents submitted, but verification is not an endorsement or guarantee of any member's skill, conduct or results. Clients and members should use their own judgment, and can check licenses with the issuing state board.
4. Our role
The Providers HQ is a marketplace and community. We are not a party to agreements between providers and clients, room owners and renters, or employers and job seekers, and we do not employ providers. Providers are independent professionals responsible for their own services.
5. Provider responsibilities
- Work within your license's scope of practice and follow your state's laws, including any rules for virtual consultations and clients in other states
- Do not diagnose or treat medical conditions, prescribe medication or make medical claims
- Keep listings, prices and availability accurate
- Get any consent your state requires, and disclose paid product relationships
- Protect client information
6. Fees and payments
Joining is free. Virtual Esthetician plans are billed monthly at the prices shown on our website, and a booking fee applies to each paid consultation. Room rentals carry no booking fee. Paid freelance gigs carry a platform fee. Current fees are listed on our website and in your account. Payments and payouts are processed by Stripe and subject to Stripe's terms. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Except where the law requires, fees already paid are not refundable.
7. Bookings, cancellations and refunds
Providers set their own cancellation policies, which are shown before booking. Contact the provider first about a problem with a service; if you cannot resolve it, contact us and we will review it.
8. Your content
You keep ownership of the content you post. You give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display and promote it to operate the Service. Only post content you have the right to share, including client photos for which you have consent.
9. Prohibited conduct
- False, misleading or fraudulent information, including credentials
- Harassment, discrimination or hateful content
- Taking payments for platform bookings outside the Service to avoid fees
- Spam, scraping or interfering with the Service
- Anything illegal
10. Suspension and termination
You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that break these Terms, lapse in license or insurance, or put others at risk.
11. Disclaimers
The Service and its educational content are provided "as is." Guides on our website are general information, not legal, medical or financial advice.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, The Providers HQ is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for the acts of members, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
13. Indemnity
You agree to cover claims and costs arising from your services, your content or your breach of these Terms.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
15. Changes
We may update these Terms. We will post the new version here and, for significant changes, notify members by email. Continuing to use the Service means you accept the updated Terms.
