There is no single right price for a virtual consultation. The right price covers your time and costs, reflects your expertise and makes sense to your clients. Use these steps to set yours with confidence.
Start with your time
Count the full time a consultation takes, not just the call: reviewing intake forms and photos, the session itself, writing the routine and answering follow-up messages.
Add your costs
- Platform and software fees
- Booking and payment processing fees
- Insurance and continuing education
- Tools or add-ons you use, such as skin analysis
Decide what clients receive
A written routine, a product list, a follow-up check-in or a progress review all add value. Clients book more readily when they know exactly what they get.
Consider packages
Skin changes take time. A package with an initial consultation and one or two follow-ups can serve clients better and create steadier income for you.
Check your local market
Look at what estheticians with similar experience charge for consultations and in-person services, then position your price with intention.
Factor in platform fees
On The Providers HQ, the Virtual Esthetician plan is $59/month, plus a 4% platform fee per consultation. Stripe's standard card processing (2.9% + 30¢) comes out of each payout. Build these into your pricing so every session stays profitable.
