Answers to the questions clients ask most about finding and booking an esthetician on The Providers HQ.
Trust and safety
How do you verify estheticians?
Every esthetician uploads a valid state license and a certificate of insurance before they can offer services. Their profile shows that they've been verified.
Can I check a license myself?
Yes. Every state licensing board has a public lookup tool. Search your esthetician's name on their state board's website.
What can't an esthetician do?
Estheticians don't diagnose medical conditions or prescribe medication. A good one will tell you when to see a dermatologist.
Booking and pricing
How much does a consultation cost?
Each esthetician sets their own price, and you see it before you book.
Can I book outside business hours?
Yes. You pick a time from the esthetician's calendar and pay online whenever it suits you.
What if I need to cancel?
Each esthetician sets their own cancellation policy. Check it on their profile before you book.
Your appointment
What do I need for a video consultation?
A phone or laptop with a camera, a steady internet connection, daylight from a window and a clean, makeup-free face. Keep your current products nearby.
Will I get a written plan?
Yes. After your consultation you get a written routine you can follow at home.
Are my photos and answers private?
Your intake answers and photos go only to the esthetician you book. Ask them how they store photos and whether sessions are recorded.
